Anne Gernat Ehnot, age 90, of Stratford, passed peacefully on Saturday, September 10,2022 at the Regional Hospice Facility in Danbury.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John A. Ehnot and her daughter, Lisa. Anne was born in Bridgeport on August 17, 1932, to Mary and Vasil Gernat, and had been a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Harding High School and worked for Gimbels Department Store in the men's department overly enjoying her employee discount! After they closed their doors, she worked for the City of Bridgeport helping families in need until her retirement in 2006. Anne moved to Stratford awhile later where her love of football and involvement at St. John the Baptist Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church in Bridgeport kept her very busy.

Anne is survived by her daughter, Deborah E. Mendosa and her husband Tom of Ohio, sons, David J. Ehnot and wife Tish of West Hartford, and John D. Ehnot of Newtown, her beloved grandchildren, Meredith, Thomas, Andrew, D.J., Paige, Brett and Mark; Kristi and Jenna and several nephews and nieces including her Goddaughter, Paula Marie Mudre.

Friends may greet her family on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.

A Requiem Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist, Bridgeport.

Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford.
