Anne R. Dragan Discko, age 95, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late John J. Discko, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in her home. Mrs. Discko, a homemaker was born in Bridgeport to the late Vasil and Mary (Chomaik) Dragan, and has been a life long area resident. She was a member of the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist and their Mothers and Daughters Club, and Seniors. She was also an active member of the Baldwin Center in Stratford, and enjoyed cooking and baking. Survivors include her devoted children, Dorothy Discko of Darien, John Discko and his wife Pamela of Trumbull, and JoAnne Scheele of PA, 2 grandsons Richard and Jeffrey Scheele of PA, a brother Dr. William Dragan and his wife Margaret of Easton, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by her sister Elsie Witiak and her husband John. Funeral services will take place on Friday, April 11 ^th at 10am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 10:30 am in the Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist, Mill Hill Avenue Bridgeport, for a Requiem Funeral Service. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Friday from 9-10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make donations in memory of Anne to St. John's Church.
