Anne Reine Anderson, age 94 of Stratford passed away on Monday June 15, 2009 in Bridgeport Hospital. Anne, an actress who starred on Broadway for many years was born in New York City to the late Julius and Anna (Anderson) Von Sterndorf and has been a long time Stratford resident. Anne attended a performing arts high school in New York City where she trained as a ballet dancer. After a brief career in ballet she worked in New York City as a toe dancer, gravitating to musical comedy with a featured role on Broadway in the popular and successful show "Lend and Ear" in which she received outstanding reviews from the New York Times. During World War # II she entertained troops in Africa and Southern Europe with the USO. Returning to make a successful debut on Broadway with the popular show ""Come on and Play". She was an environmentalist and animal advocate. She was pre-deceased by a sister Thelma, a brother and her ex-husband Jules Munshin, and leaves no immediate survivors. Funeral services and interment are private and entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
