Anna Semanchik Tvardzik, age 98, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Andrew Tvardzik, passed away on April 25, 2018 in Cambridge Manor, Fairfield. Ann was born on April 28, 1919 in Bridgeport to the late John and Anna (Kachmarik) Semanchik and has been a life long area resident. She was retired from Remington Arms, where she worked as an inspector during WW II in their Bridgeport and Colorado factories. Ann was a life member of St. John's Orthodox Church in Bridgeport and their Mother's Club. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, and watching golf, but most of all loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her devoted son, Robert Tvardzik and his wife Denise of Trumbull, grandsons, Thomas Tvardzik and Timothy Tvardzik, great-grandsons, Andrew and Drew Brian, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Ann was pre-deceased by her son, William, grandson, Brian, brother, Joseph Semanchik, and sister, Helen Karabinos. A Requiem Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, May 1 ^st at 11 a.m. meeting directly at the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist 364 Mill Hill Ave Bridgeport. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. At the family's request, calling hours have been omitted. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home-Stratford.
