Anna Emma Skopp, age 86, of Stratford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026. Born in Bridgeport to the late William and Anna Tessier, Anna was defined by her unwavering dedication to her family and her community.

Throughout her life, Anna found great joy in working with people. Her career spanned various roles, including working as a crossing guard and a salesclerk at a men’s clothing store, local pharmacy and Costco. Upon retiring to Lakeland, Florida, she remained a vibrant part of her neighborhood as an active volunteer. Anna will be remembered for her welcoming spirit, her love of travel, and her passion for cooking and baking. She cherished every moment spent with family and friends, and her warmth touched all who knew her.

Anna was predeceased by her beloved husband, Henry John Skopp Jr; her brother, William Tessier Jr.; and a niece and nephew.

Her greatest legacy is her family. She is survived by her four children, Maureen Strazzeri and her husband Michael, Patrick Skopp, Carol Skopp and her husband Jim Nixon, and Henry Skopp III. She also leaves behind her brothers, Edward Tessier and wife Joan, Frank Tessier and wife Lynn, Fred Tessier and wife Mary Ann, Donald Tessier and wife Ann and her sister-in-law Patricia Tessier, wife of the late William Tessier Jr. Anna was the proud grandmother of five and great-grandmother of five. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to express condolences on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, CT 06614. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford, CT 06614.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Anna’s memory to CurePSP, an organization dedicated to the care and cure of neurodegenerative diseases, or to Connecticut Hospice.
