Anna Mordovanec Salley, age 97 of New Castle, PA, formerly of Stratford passed away on Friday September 16, 2005 in Jameson Memorial Hospital, New Castle. Mrs. Salley, a retired inspector for General Electric, was born in Czechoslovakia to the late John and Anna (Kovach) Mordovanec and had been an area resident for many years before moving to Pennsylvania. She was a member of St. Nicholas Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church New Castle and the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist Bridgeport. Mrs. Salley was the widow of George Salley. Survivors include her beloved children Very Rev. Protopresbyter Richard G. Salley of New Castle, Dorothy Kekacs and her husband Thomas of Shelton, daughter-in-law Mag Salley of Johnstown, PA, brother-in-law Edward Liptak of NC 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was pre-deceased by her son Very Rev. Robert Salley, a daughter-in-law Pani Mary Salley, a sister Mary Liptak and 2 brothers John and George Mordovanec. Funeral services and burial in St. John's Cemetery Stratford will be private and at the convenience of the family. The Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
