Anna Teresa Sala age 86 of Stratford, passed away on Sunday March 23, 2008 in Bridgeport Hospital after a brief illness. Anna was born in Bridgeport to the late Andrew and Mary Seman and graduated from Central High School in Bridgeport. Anna was the beloved wife of sixty-six years to Charles A. Sala. She was a wonderful mother and took great joy in her children, grandchildren their spouses and great grandchildren. She was a warm and generous person who made friends wherever she went. Ann was a homemaker most of her life but she still involved herself in politics and scouts. She was especially proud of her achievement and recognition for volunteering over 1,000 hours at Bridgeport Hospital. In addition to her husband, Anna is survived by her sons Charles J. Sala and his Ada of Monroe, Robert D. Sala and his wife Paula of Venice, Florida, and a daughter Carol A. McCarthy and her husband Michael of Milford, she is also survived by her grandchildren Charles Sala and his wife Catherine, Julie Smith and her husband James, Robert Sala and his wife Cindy, Patricia Sala, and Lauren Mc Carthy, her great-grandchildren Katelin and Kevin Sala and Charliann and Kyle Smith, a sister-in-law Catherine Sala of New York and several nephews and a niece. She was pre-deceased by a brother John Seman and 2 sisters Helen Seman and Mary Walgren. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday March 26th at 10:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m.
