Anna M. Pramuka, age 92, of Stratford, the widow of Lawrence Pramuka passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2009 in her home. Born in Bridgeport to the late Michael and Anna (Sedlak) Mihalko She has been a life long area resident. Anna was a past member of the St. John's Mothers and Daughters club where she was a past financial secretary. She enjoyed playing bingo, the casino, cooking, traveling, knitting, crocheting and being with her family. Survivors include her beloved daughter Lauranne Duch and husband Michael of Stratford, a cherished grandson Gregory Michael Duch of Stratford; a sister Helen Kopchik and her husband John of Stratford; several nieces, nephews and cousins locally and in Sambron and Stara Lubovna Slovakia; special friends Aliga Szczygiel of Bridgeport and Beatrice Jones of Stratfordt. Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 9:15 am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10:00 am in St. John's Church Mill Hill Ave Bridgeport with a Requiem Funeral Service. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to the VNS Hospice at Home for the care they gave Anna. In lieu of flowers donations in Anna's memory may be made to St. John's Church Restoration or Endowment fund or to St. John's Silver Lane Stratford. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-5 pm. Panachida will be at 4:00 pm.
