Obituary

Anna Mae Picard Slosar, age 79, of Stratford, the widow of Charles Slosar Jr, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013 in Bridgeport Hospital. Anna Mae, a retired cafeteria worker for the Diocese of Bridgeport, was born in Bridgeport to the late Leo and Irene Jajosky Picard, and has been a life long area resident. She was a member of the Ladies Guild at St. Mark Church, and the Holy Name Ladies Duckpin League, and was an avid Pinochle, Canasta and Mahjong player. Survivors include her devoted daughters Linda Pettinicchi and her husband Russ, and Catherine Cullen and her husband Tim all of Stratford, longtime companion Richard Cullen, grandchildren Andrea Kuch and her husband Jason, Nicholas Muzyka, and Samantha Bielen, a great-granddaughter Madison Kuch, 2 brothers Leo Picard Jr, and George Picard both of SD, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Friday, November 22nd at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Place Stratford, and at 10 a.m. in St. Mark's Church Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations to the Madison Kuch Education Fund.
