Anna McCrea, age 98, of Stratford, the beloved widow of George T. McCrea, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2011 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Taylor, Pennsylvania to the late Stephen and Mary (Demetri) Micknick, Anna has been a longtime Stratford resident. Survivors include her loving children Richard McCrea of Stratford and Georgia Smith and her husband John Robert of Newtown; 2 cherished grandchildren, Allison Smith and J.R. Smith and his wife Melissa; 1 great-grandson Brady Smith; 2 sisters, Sue Tedesco of Avoca, PA and Mary Kavulich of Mt Cobb, PA; a brother Michael Micknick of Avoca, PA; several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 11 am (DIRECTLY) at Our Lady of Grace Church, 407 Second Hill Lane, Stratford. Interment will take place in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Calling hours have been omitted.
