Anna Choomack Halko age 96 of Fairfield passed away on Tuesday March 17, 2009 in Connecticut Health Care of Southport. Mrs. Halko, a retired seamstress was born in Bridgeport to the late Timothy and Anna (Sivec) Choomack and has been a life long area resident. She was a former member of the Holy Ghost Church Choir and Balalaika Orchestra, and was the widow of Julius Halko. Survivors include her 5 nephews John and Jeanne Choomack with whom she resided, and their daughter and son-in-law Dawn and Dan Allen, Jim and Carole Choomack and their children Katy Beth and Ann, Joseph Choomack and his son Joshua, Timothy and Joanne Choomack and their children Rebekah and Tracy, Timothy and Kathy Horton and their children Michael and Jenna, a niece Elsa Trostonoff and her daughter Jessica. The family would like to thank the staff of Connecticut HC of Southport for the kind care given to Anna. Funeral services will take place on Thursday March 19th at 11 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, with Rev. Peter Paproski officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery Bridgeport.
