Anna Reklaitis Gnida, age 87, of Bridgeport, the widow of Joseph Gnida, passed away on Sunday January 30, 2012 in Bridgeport Hospital. Anna, a retired assembler for the General Electric Company, was born in Pittston, Pennsylvania to the late Peter and Julia (Junavich) Reklaitis and has been a long time area resident. She was an avid seamstress and loved to knit, donating many of her works, especially "Healing Shawls" to Bridgeport Hospital's Cancer Survivors Group; but above all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother. Survivors include her devoted children Robert Gnida and his wife Sue of Hamden, and Karen Goldstein and her husband Bob of Shelton, 5 cherished grandchildren Alegre and Kostas Poniros, Jessica Boras, Kelly Arnold, and Joseph Gnida, 5 great-grandchildren Cadence and Benjamin Arnold, and Molly, Jillian and Layna Boras, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may greet her family on Friday February 3rd from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations to a charity of choice.
