Anna M. Babjak, age 85, of Bridgeport, the widow of John Babjak, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2011 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport to the late Andrew and Mary (Marcinchak) Pastir, she has been a lifelong Bridgeport resident. Anna was a very active volunteer at St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church and was part of the baking crew, making pirohi and nut and poppy seed rolls. Her favorite pastime was doing puzzles. Survivors include her beloved children Mary Ann Babjak of Bridgeport, John M. Babjak and his wife Carolyn of Milford and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 9:15 am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10 am in St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, Trumbull, with a Divine Liturgy. Internment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Monday from 4-7pm. Panachida will be at 4:30PM.
