Ann attended Summerfield Elementary School and Warren Harding High School in Bridgeport, CT and was an active member in the concert and marching band. She went on to attend the University of Bridgeport where she was a member of the sorority Chi Sigma Delta, a worthy advisor of the Masonic Order of the Stratford, CT Chapter of Rainbow Girls and a Grand Cross of Color, the highest award given to a member or adult leader for outstanding service. In that role she served as a representative to Kansas. At the University of Bridgeport, she graduated and received a B.S. degree in Nursing. This degree launched her career in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and the Operating Room, where she was the OB-GYN Assistant Head Nurse at Bridgeport Hospital and the OB-GYN Procedures Instructor at the University of Bridgeport. Ann went on to become a Director and Reviewer of out-of-plan claims for what was Physicians Health Services Insurance (PHS).

Ann was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Orthodox Church in Bridgeport, CT and in her early days a Sunday School Teacher. She was an active parent volunteer when her daughter was in school. Including the PTA at Middlebrook Elementary, and Madison Middle School, and took great pride in being a Trumbull High School parent choir volunteer and publicity writer. Ann also enjoyed being a volunteer broadcaster for CRIS News Radio for the blind and print impaired. In Ann's younger years, she was an avid traveler visiting Amsterdam, Germany, France, Itay, Austria, London and Mexico and so very much enjoyed family trips to Branson, MO, Orlando, Nashville, Washington, D.C., Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, TN, Philadelphia, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island, Las Vegas, Canada and one very special trip to Alaska with her daughter, Marcia.  Ann was so very proud of her daughter Marcia and loved watching her perform on stage as a lead actress in so many musical theatre productions.
