Ann Petro Carey, age 98 of Stratford, widow of Joseph Carey passed away on Monday March 6, 2006 in Maefair Health Care Center Trumbull. Mrs. Carey, a retired machine operator for Dresser Industries was born in Bridgeport to the late Paul and Sophie Petro and has been a life long area resident and was a life-time member of the United Church of Christ where at the time of her passing was the second oldest parishioner. Survivors include her beloved niece and nephews Kathleen Roche and her husband Thomas and Michael Petro all of Stratford and Ronald Petro and his wife Julie of East Haven and several grand-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Thursday March 9th at 10:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. And at 11 a.m. in the United Church of Christ Bridgeport. Interment will be in Mountain Grove Cemetery Bridgeport. At the family's request calling hours have been omitted. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations to the United Church of Christ
