Alexander S. Babkin, age 83, of Westport, passed away on November 30, 2020 in Norwalk Hospital. Alexander was born in Yugoslavia on June 11, 1937 to the late Serge and Tatiana (Mordvinov) Babkin and had been a longtime area resident. He received a bachelor's degree from McGill University in Canada, and a master's degree from Columbia University in New York City.  Alexander was retired from Sikorsky Aircraft and worked as a self-employed Computer Systems Analyst. He was a member of St. Georges Pathfinders, and the Westport Sister Cities Association with St. Petersburg, Russia. Alexander was also a member of Rotary International, and the United Nations Hospitality Committee. Survivors include his son, Alexander Babkin of Branford. In addition to his parents, Alexander was pre-deceased by his first wife, Tatiana Storojeff Babkin, and his second wife, Galina Vinogradova Babkin. A Requiem Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 15 ^th at 9 a.m. meeting directly at St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church 1 Honeyspot Road Stratford. Interment will follow in Novo Diveevo Cemetery, Spring Valley, NY. The Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
