Albert E. (Frenchy) Giroux, age 87, of Stratford, beloved husband of Anna Duffy Giroux, passed away on October 3, 2024.

Albert was born in Fall River, Massachusetts on December 14, 1936, to the late Alcide and Juliette (Chabot) Giroux and had been a longtime area resident. He was a U.S. Army veteran with the 697th ENGR CO, Fort Hood, TX then transferred the USAR Control Group XIII U.S. Army Corps as a Pipeline Construction Inspector. Albert then worked for Raybestos Brakes in Stratford, CT and retired from Voltarc Technologies in Fairfield, CT. Albert enjoyed bowling at Circle Lanes in Fairfield, CT and loved traveling with his (Buddy) Anne going to various restaurants where they made lots of friends at Paradise Pizza, Duchess, Marnicks and Duchess Diner.

Survivors in addition to his beloved wife include his devoted sons, Raymond M. Giroux of Virginia, and Albert P. Giroux of Las Vegas, stepson, Chris Nagy and his wife Melissa of Florida, 3 cherished grandchildren, Jilliana Giroux, Jordan (Megan) Nagy and Parker Nagy, great-grandchildren, Joslynn and Marek Nagy, along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Albert was pre-deceased by his brothers, Romeo and Lenny Giroux and sister, Vivian Senior.

Visitation on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Mark Church Stratford. Interment with full military honors will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, Fairfield.
